The Oakland Raiders traveled to Detroit to take on the Lions in a Week 11 clash at Ford Field Sunday afternoon.

At the half the Lions lead the Raiders 9-0.

Here are the highlights from the first half.

The Oakland Raiders won the toss and elected to defer to the second half, and Sebastian Janikowski booted the opening kickoff to Ameer Abdullah who returned it to the Lions 22-yard line.

The Lions drove the length of the football field, but on 3rd and Goal, David Amerson broke up Matthew Stafford's pass intended for Golden Tate to force a field goal attempt. Matt Prater connected on the field goal to give the Lions a 3-0 lead with 7:54 left in the first quarter.

Once again, the Lions drove the length of the football field, but once again, they had to settle for a field goal attempt as Benson Mayowa sacked Stafford on 3rd and 9. Prater added his second field goal of the day and with 0:31 left in the first quarter the Lions led 6-0.

On the ensuing possession, Carr threw a dart down the seam to rookie tight end Clive Walford for a gain of 18 yards.

With 10:20 left in the second quarter, the Raiders forced a Lions punt when Nate Allen took down Golden Tate down behind the line of scrimmage on 3rd and 1.

The Raiders defense stood tall yet again, with just over 7:00 left in the half, as Khalil Mack stopped Brandon Pettigrew inches short of the first down marker on a Lions 3rd and 9.

The Raiders converted their first third down of the afternoon when Carr threw across the field and found Walford for a gain of seven yards.
