In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Raiders and Northern California Honda Dealers teamed up to spotlight one Hometown Hero in the community. This Hometown Hero is someone who exemplifies a dedication to elevating the Hispanic community, a commitment to work and family and a passion for achieving excellence in everything they do. The "Hometown Hero" is Rene Gonzalez, founder of Ballet Folklorico Mexico Danza.
Ballet Folklorico Mexico Danza, an East Bay non-profit dance company, was founded by González in 1991. René began teaching in his hometown of Hayward, CA with a goal to bring the rich culture of Mexican folklorico to the youth in his local community.
