Raiders FS Michael Huff has been named the AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance in the Raiders 35-27 win over San Diego. His sack and forced fumble against Chargers QB Philip Rivers led to SS Tyvon Branch's decisive 64-yard return for a touchdown.

The fifth-year former first round pick out of the University of Texas chalked up 11 total tackles, nine solo, as the Raiders broke a 13-game losing streak to the Chargers.

With San Diego on the edge of field goal range, Huff came on a blitz, fought through a block, and hit Rivers' arm before the Chargers passer could get off the the throw and the ball popped free. CB Chris Johnson leveled a San Diego player who tried to scoop up the ball and Branch alertly picked it up and raced 64 yards for the score with 58 seconds left in the game.
