The Raiders have officially moved on from their Sunday loss to the Houston Texans to focus squarely on their Week 3 match-up with Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
The Silver and Black were back on the practice field at their Alameda facility today and were joined by newly-signed WR Vincent Brown.
Brown, who was most recently with the San Diego Chargers, signed with the team on Tuesday and is very excited to continue his career in Oakland.
"It was a blessing to still be able to play football and to be able to come out here to Oakland and continue my career as a Raider," said Brown. "I'm excited for it. I'm happy for it and I just want to mix in and do what I can."
Following practice, Head Coach Dennis Allen gave his daily remarks to the media, listing out the injury report for the team as well as speaking about the addition of Brown to the roster.
"After having an opportunity to compete against him for a couple of years there when he was in San Diego, he's got some explosiveness," Coach Allen said. "He catches the ball really well and he's got some vertical threat down the field. I think probably the biggest thing when you watch the guy is, when the ball goes in his direction, he generally makes the catch."
In addition to Coach Allen, Derek Carr gave his weekly address, speaking about his second professional start and the challenges that this week presents to the team.
In particular though, he spoke about the high energy level that was present at practice today.
"What I loved about practice today was guys were flying around," Carr said. "Guys were racing out to just get out to be on the field when it was their turn to be up. That's all it is, is competition, is competing against each other, having fun. But one thing that I love to see and that I've heard so much this week is, 'Do it for the man next to you.'"
Carr and the Raiders will be back at practice tomorrow and Raiders.com will have post-practice reaction as well as remarks from Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson and Defensive Coordinator Jason Tarver.
