Raiders Acquire QB Carson Palmer

The Raiders have acquired QB Carson Palmer in a trade with the Cincinnati Bengals.

In his ninth season, Palmer has played in 97 games and completed 2,024 passes on 3,217 attempts for 22,694 yards, all with the Bengals. He has thrown for 154 touchdowns and run for five more.

Palmer won the 2002 Heisman Trophy at University of Southern California after leading the Trojans to an 11-2 record and an Orange Bowl victory. He was drafted by the Bengals in the 1st round of the 2003 NFL Draft (No. 1 overall).
