Raiders Appear On NFL.com's List Of Top Primetime Games In 2018

The Oakland Raiders 2018 regular season schedule came out last week, and the Silver and Black will appear in their fair share of nationally televised games. The team is set to appear in four primetime games, one of which ranks in NFL.com columnist Adam Schein's list of next season's top primetime games.

Fortunately for Raiders fans, three out of the team's four primetime games will take place at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum, with the other game occurring just 45 minutes south in Santa Clara, Calif., against the San Francisco 49ers. While that game will certainly draw plenty of attention, Schein's game to keep an eye on is the first bout of the season, when the Raiders play host to the Los Angeles Rams.

"In certain years past, this Week 1 Monday nightcap failed to generate much excitement. Not this time. The back end of this double-dip -- which follows Jets at Lions -- is absolutely must-see TV, with Jon Gruden's official return to coaching and the Rams showing off their shiny new toys.

East Coasters: Plan to make that extra pot of coffee for this one. It'll be well worth it."

Coming off an impressive 2017 campaign led by Head Coach Sean McVay, the Rams have added more talent to an already talented group. This offseason the team acquired cornerbacks Marcus Peters and Aqib Talib, as well as defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh, and wide receiver Brandin Cooks. McVay is a former pupil of Raiders Head Coach Jon Gruden, and it'll be the first time the two have faced each other as foes.

The Rams and the Raiders will square off September 10 on ESPN at 7:20 p.m. PST.
