Saturday evening at the Oakland Alameda County Coliseum, former Oakland Raiders offensive guard George Buehler was given the opportunity to light the torch commemorating Al Davis, prior to the Silver and Black's matchup against the Tennessee Titans.

Selected in the second round (No. 50 overall) of the 1969 NFL Draft, Buehler was a member of the Raiders for 10 years and started in 98 games on the offensive front. Buehler played an important role in the Raiders 1976 season, resulting in a 32-14 victory over the Minnesota Vikings in Super Bowl XI.

During an on-field interview, Buehler shared his memories of Davis. "You know, to recognize a guy like Al, what hasn't he done," said Buehler. "Through his coaching and general management he took us to the most [winning] professional team."
