Tell The Truth Tuesday: Players Recap Loss To Denver Broncos

According to Oakland Raiders Head Coach Jack Del Rio, the football week doesn't end until Tuesday. The reason for that is because Tuesday's are the last day to reflect on the positives and negatives from Sunday, prior to getting started on the new work week. Once Wednesday hits, it's on to the next opponent.

The Raiders Week 4 loss to the Denver Broncos was a tough one, while there wasn't a huge score differential, the outcome was still a loss for the Silver and Black.

After not being able to get the rushing attack going, or being able to string together first downs, the offense struggled, but the team is ready to work and get back to the level it's capable of playing at.

Here's a look at the comments from Tell the Truth Tuesday.

Head Coach Jack Del Rio

"We've got to look at everything. We will. I think for the fan right now, it's probably more about, 'Hey, who can I blame right now and get pissed at?' I get that. That's not how we're going to operate. We're all looking to make it better. It starts with what we call, when we call it, how we execute the call. Coaches coach, players play. We're going to coach and do better at coaching. The players are going to play and do better at playing and executing. We're going to be better. We're a better unit than we've shown offensively the last two weeks. No question. It hasn't been good enough and it's led directly to losses, two losses."

"I know we have big, powerful guys up front. We've got backs that are all very capable. We have a really good staff. We have to put it together to make it work. That's the bottom line. For two weeks now, we've stubbed our toe. Maybe more than just a toe. We've struggled. It's really obvious to everybody that follows us. It's obvious to me. We're working hard to get it right."

"We knew [what] to expect going in, it's a division team, so we kind of knew what to expect. They did a good job doing some things that they didn't show on film prior to the game, so hats off to them. They did a good job making adjustments."

Wide Receiver Cordarrelle Patterson

"It's on us, it's the next-man-up mentality around here, and that's everywhere. [Quarterback] EJ [Manuel], he's a heck of a player, man. We all believe in EJ, and we just ready for this week."

Guard Kelechi Osemele

"Every game is special, it's the NFL, we just going to go out and win every damn game, and fight like we always do, and we're going to get the job done."

Tight End Lee Smith

"Like Jack said, its little quarter turns, its little things. It's no big secret how talented we are up front, how talented [running back] Marshawn [Lynch] is, so it's on us as players and coaches, everybody from the top down to get the running game going… Give credit to the two defenses we've played too, let's not forget how talented those two defenses are."
