While there wasn't any football played this week, it was still a busy week for the Silver and Black.

We're less than a week away from the 2016 NFL Scouting Combine, and not only that, Charles Woodson announced Thursday what his next career move will be.

With that being said, it's time to catch you up on the week that was.

Charles Woodson Heads To ESPN

Charles Woodson certainly didn't enjoy too much down time before announcing his next stop.

Woodson, who retired from the NFL following the 2015 season, announced earlier this week that he would be joining ESPN as a studio analyst and will work on Sunday Night Countdown *and *Monday Night Countdown.

Said Woodson in a release, "I would like to thank ESPN for this incredible opportunity to join their Sunday and Monday Night Countdown shows. I look forward to carrying on their strong tradition and gaining the respect of those who came before me and those who will follow me. I'm extremely honored and can't wait to get started."

Derek Carr was one of those players, who after an impressive rookie season, improved his statistical output across the board in 2015, with jumps in total yardage, completion percentage, and passing touchdowns, and he earned his first trip to the Pro Bowl in the process.

After his impressive sophomore campaign, a pair of Super Bowl champions took notice and chimed in on what they saw from the Raiders' signal caller.
