Last Sunday the Oakland Raiders convincingly beat the New York Jets 34-20 at O.co Coliseum, improving their record to 4-3 on the year. Quarterback Derek Carr threw for over 300 yards and running back Latavius Murray ran for over 100 yards on the ground in a quality win over a playoff-caliber team.

Next up is a road showdown with the Pittsburgh Steelers with kickoff scheduled for 10:00 a.m. at Heinz Field, but before the Silver and Black hit the road, let's get you caught up on the week that was.

Raiders Get Set For Showdown With Steelers

After handling business at home last weekend against the New York Jets, the Raiders hit the road this week for a battle against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Heading into their Week 9 contest against Mike Tomlin and Co., Raiders.com looked at three matchups that will play a role in how the game plays out.

Raiders Sign Wide Receiver Marcus Thigpen

While the Silver and Black weren't active at the trade deadline this season, they did make a personnel move – signing wide receiver Marcus Thigpen earlier in the week.

For his career, Thigpen has appeared in 45 games, including 32 with the Miami Dolphins in 2012 and 2013.

Silver and Black Keep Rising In The Power Rankings

After an impressive 34-20 win over the New York Jets Sunday afternoon at O.co Coliseum, the Oakland Raiders have crept above .500 and now hold an overall record of 4-3.

The Silver and Black's next opponent is the Pittsburgh Steelers, but before the team prepares to travel to Pittsburgh, let's take a look at what the national media is saying about the Raiders.

Raiders In The Community

Seven year old Chase DeLisle signed a coach's contract with the Oakland Raiders this week as part of the Make-A-Wish. Chase coached practice, held a press conference and attended the Raiders victory over New York.
