Lester Hayes shares the franchise record for most career interceptions with 39.

The Raiders defense has always prided itself on its ability to take the ball away from their oppoenents. This Top 10 list highlights the men who have excelled at picking off opposing quarterbacks during their tenure in Silver and Black. Future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson cracks the Top 10.

Raiders legend Lester Hayes (1977-1986) shares the franchise record for most career INTs with 39. His best season came in 1980 when he recorded 13 interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a TD, along with collecting The NFL AP Defensive Player of the Year award. The 5-time Pro Bowler also led the league in 1979 with two INT-return TDs.

Hall of Famer and current member of the team's staff, Willie Brown (1967-1978), also registered 39 interceptions during his illustrious career. He totaled a career high of nine in 1964 and earned 3 AFL All-Star game selections, 4 Pro Bowl selections and 4 All Pro honors.

Terry McDaniel (1988-1997) totaled 35 INTs (career high of seven in 1994), 478 tackles, five forced fumbles, seven fumble recoveries and eight TDs. He was also named to five Pro Bowls.

In eight-plus seasons with the Raiders (1982-1990), Vann McElroy grabbed 31 INTs, nine fumble recoveries and one TD. He earned two Pro Bowl selections.

Two-time Pro Bowl star George Atkinson (1968-1977) picked off the opposing quarterback 30 times (career high of four in five separate seasons). The successful kick and punt returner also tallied 13 fumble recoveries and four defensive TDs for the Silver and Black.

Also with a career total of 30 INTs (career high of six in 1977) is Raiders great Jack Tatum (1971-1979). The hard-hitting safety amassed 736 return yards, 10 forced fumbles, one TD, and three Pro Bowl selections.

While with the Raiders from 1965 to 1970, Dave Grayson hauled in 29 INTs (48 for his career), two forced fumbles, four TDs, earned 2 All-AFL selections, and was chosen for 3 AFL All-Star games. In 1968, he led the AFL with 10 INTs.

Appearing at number eight on this list is Fred Williamson (1961-1964) with his 25 INTs (career high of eight in 1962) while playing for the Silver and Black. He appeared in three AFL All-Star games and was two-time First-Team All AFL.

In just three seasons (1962-1964), Tommy Morrow recorded 23 INTs, establishing a career high of 10 during his rookie campaign.

Coming in at number 10 is Charles Woodson with his career totals of 22 INTs as a Raider, 376 INT return yards and two TDs. Woodson has grabbed 60 career INTs during two stints with the Raiders and a tour of duty with the Packers.
