Top 10 Longest Passes in Raiders History

With three Super Bowl wins and a rich legacy, many remarkable plays have been made in Raiders' history. Here are the top 10 longest passes:

On October 2, 1983, Jim Plunkett threw a touchdown pass to Cliff Branch, measuring 99 yards. The Raiders were defeated by Washington 37-35 but this play tops the record books as the longest pass in Raiders' history.
     
2. George Blanda threw a 94-yard touchdown pass to Warren Wells, in a 43-7 victory against the Broncos on November 10, 1968.
     
3. Five years earlier, Tom Flores threw a 93-yard pass to Dobie Craig, helping to defeat the Jets 49- 26 on October 20, 1963.
     
4. Marc Wilson threw a 92-yard touchdown pass to Pro Football Hall of Famer, Marcus Allen, on October 7, 1984, in a victory against the Seahawks.
     
5. On December 2, 1962, in a game against the Chargers, Cotton Davidson threw a 90-yard touchdown pass to Dick Dorsey. This helped the Raiders close the scoring gap, but the Chargers ultimately were victorious, winning 31- 21.
     
6. Ken Stabler threw an 88 yard touchdown pass to Cliff Branch in an 18-14 win versus the Packers in 1976.
     
7. On November 23, 1980, Jim Plunkett threw an 86-yard touchdown pass to Cliff Branch versus the Eagles. Twenty-nine years later in 2009, JaMarcus Russell also threw an 86-yard touchdown against Philadelphia. This time the receiver was Zach Miller, defeating the Eagles 13-9 at home.
     
8. Twice in history, a Raider player has completed an 85-yard touchdown pass. The first was in 1968 when Tom Flores threw to Charley Fuller on November 5 while playing the Bills. In 1988, Jay Schroeder threw an 85-yard touchdown to Mervyn Fernandez on October 23, in a loss to the Saints.
     
9. A year later, on November 5, 1989, Jay Schroeder threw an 84-yard touchdown pass to Willie Gault, helping the Los Angeles Raiders defeat the Cincinnati Bengals 28-7. Two more Raiders threw 84-yard touchdowns: Rich Gannon to James Jett in 2000 and JaMarcus Russell to Johnnie Lee Higgins in 2008.
     
10. On December 27, 1970, Rod Sherman caught an 82-yard touchdown pass from Daryle Lamonica. The Oakland Raiders defeated the Miami Dolphins 21- 14.
