Top 10 Single Game Offensive Performances

The Oakland Raiders have had some high-octane offenses throughout their 54-year history. Here is a Top 10 list of the best single-game, regular season, offensive outputs (yards from scrimmage) in franchise history.

The Raiders hosted the Denver Broncos on October 25, 1964 and won 40-7 on 637 yards of total offense. Oakland had two 100-yard performers in the game – Art Powell with 152 yards and two touchdowns and Billy Cannon with 111 yards and two touchdowns. Raiders QB Cotton Davidson threw for 427 yards and five touchdowns in a dominant offensive performance.

The Oakland Raiders defense shut out the Bengals in Cincinnati on November 24, 1968. To complement the Raiders defense, the offense excelled accumulating 604 yards. Three players had over 100 yards rushing or receiving for the Silver and Black – Charlie Smith (118 yards rushing), Fred Biletnikoff (137 yards receiving), and Warren Wells (133 yards receiving). QB Daryle Lamonica passed for 368 yards.

The Oakland Raiders logged 560 yards of total offense during a 49-20 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles Nov. 3, 2013. RB Rashad Jennings rushed for 102 yards, QBs Terrelle Pryor and Matt McGloin combined to pass for 375 yards. WR Rod Streater caught 5 balls for 98 yards, WR Denarius Moore snagged 5 passes for 82 yards. Pryor added 94 yards on the ground.

In a divisional match up against the San Diego Chargers at home on September 22, 1996, the Raiders offense racked up 553 yards. Despite 293 yards of passing from QB Jeff Hostetler, 120 receiving yards from Tim Brown, 91 yards from James Jett, and 115 yards from Napoleon Kaufman, the Raiders fell to the Chargers 40-34.

QB Jason Campbell threw for 310 yards to help the Raiders beat the Seattle Seahawks 33-3 and rack up 545 offensive yards on October 31, 2010. Darrius Heyward-Bey caught five passes for 105 yards, Marcel Reece had 90 receiving yards and Darren McFadden led the offense with 111 yards rushing.

Warren Wells caught four passes for 102 yards, Hewritt Dixon ran for 78 yards, and Pete Banaszak ran for 81 yards to help the Raiders amass 544 yards of total offense against the Bengals on December 7, 1969. Oakland beat Cincinnati 37-17.

In a 47-21 victory over the Dolphins in Miami on September 21, 1968, the Raiders collected 542 yards of offense. The Silver and Black were led by 106 receiving yards by Warren Wells, 93 rushing yards by Pete Banaszak, 90 rushing yards from Hewritt Dixon and over 60 yards receiving by Fred Biletnikoff and Bill Miller. QB Daryle Lamonica threw for four touchdowns.

The Raiders 1968 offense dominated its opponents, reaching the top 10 in offensive output for the third time. On November 3, 1968, the Raiders offense accumulated 539 yards of total offense against the rival Chiefs. Both Fred Biletnikoff and Warren Wells had over 100 receiving yards. QB Daryle Lamonica threw for 352 yards and George Blanda passed for 129 yards.

In another victory over Kansas City on October 3, 1977, the Oakland Raiders collected 539 yards of total offense. Mark van Eeghen rushed 24 times for 116 yards, Clarence Davis rushed 15 times for 102 yards, Dave Casper caught seven passes for 101 yards and Mike Siani caught three passes for 73 yards.

The Raiders beat the Denver Broncos 48-10 on December 17, 1960 and accumulated 532 offensive yards. Babe Parilli passed for 167 yards and two touchdowns, while Tom Flores passed for 145 yards. Tony Teresa rushed for 75 yards and Charlie Hardy caught four passes for 91 yards.
