Top 10 Single Season Rushing Performances

Power running, like the vertical passing game, has been a hallmark of Raiders offensive football since 1963 when Al Davis became Head Coach and General Manager of the Raiders. This is a list of the Top 10 single-season rushing performances in Raiders history.

1.			In 1985, Marcus Allen carried the ball 380 times and rushed for 1,759 yards and 11 touchdowns as the Raiders finished with a 12-4 record and won the AFC West.
2.			Napoleon Kaufman finished the 1997 season with 1,294 yards on 272 carries and 6 rushing touchdowns.
3.			Mark van Eeghen helped the 1977 Raiders capture a Wild Card playoff berth with 1,273 yards on 324 carries and 7 scores.
4.			Marcus Allen carried the ball 275 times in 1984 and gained 1,168 yards to go with 13 TDs as the Raiders finished 11-5.
5.			Darren McFadden turned in the 5th best single-season rushing performance in 2010 with 1,157 yards on 223 carries with 7 TDs in just 13 games.
6.			In 1995, Harvey Williams chalked up 1,114 yards on 255 carries and found the end zone 9 times on the ground.
7.			Marv Hubbard carried the ball 219 times in 1972 and gained 1,100 and scored 4 times on the ground as the Raiders finished 10-3-1.
8.			In 1963, Clem Daniels did not start one single game, but he came off the bench to run for 1,099 yards on 215 carries and scored 3 TDs.
9.			In 1978, Mark van Eeghen carried the ball 270 times for 1,080 yards and 9 TDs as the Raiders finished 9-7.
10.			Tyrone Wheatley led the NFL's #1 ground game in 2000 with 232 carries for 1,046 yards and 9 TDs as the Raiders finished 12-4 and won the AFC West.
