Bill Stettiner, Lieutenant with the Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department, was selected to be the first GovX Hero of the Game. Stettiner had the opportunity to take the field with the Raiders captains and participate in the GovX Hero of the Game Coin Toss.

"This is a big honor. This is really cool. I can't think of anything I've done to deserve this, but I'm very grateful," said Stettiner.

Stettiner's Spring Valley Volunteer Fire Department serves the residents of the unincorporated Eastern Santa Clara County. "We have approximately a 200-square mile response area and we do it all with volunteers and very little public funds and we work off of donations and grants," explained Stettiner. "Our own members pay for a lot of things and we do it because it has to be done."

The GovX honoree was excited to be part of the Raiders festivities. "This is awesome," said Stettiner. "I've been a Raiders fan since I was born. My dad was a Raider fan. This is awesome."
