Carr Voted Rookie of the Week

QB Derek Carr has been voted Pepsi Rookie of the Week for his performance in Week 14 against the San Francisco 49ers.

Carr finished the game 22-of-28 for 254 yards and three touchdowns. His 140.2 passer rating was a new career high and the seventh highest single-game passer rating in franchise history (min. 20 attempts). It is also the sixth-best passer rating by a rookie quarterback since 1960 (min. 20 attempts).

He tossed three touchdown passes in the game, the second most in his career, and the second three-touchdown game of his young career. He is now tied with Ben Roethlisberger for the 11th-most touchdown passes by a rookie since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger.

He orchestrated an 11-play, 74-yard TD drive, an 8-play, 80-yard TD drive, and an 11-play, 80-yard TD drive.

Carr completed passes to seven different receivers, including offensive tackle Donald Penn for a touchdown. He completed 100 percent of his passes that were targeted to both TE Mychal Rivera and FB Marcel Reece. Thirteen of the Raiders 19 first downs came on pass plays.

This was Carr's second nomination for Rookie of the Week and first win.
