Grammy Award-winning band Kool & The Gang will take the stage at Allegiant Stadium for halftime this Sunday when the Las Vegas Raiders host the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Kool & the Gang has performed continuously longer than any R&B group in history. Their undeniable funk and jazzy arrangements have also made them the most sampled R&B band of all time. Every year, even after a half-century on the road, yields a non-stop schedule of shows across the globe. Thanks to iconic songs like" Celebration," "Cherish," "Jungle Boogie," "Summer Madness," and "Open Sesame," they've earned several awards, a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame, an induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame and most recently, an induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame – Class of 2024.
Actress and singer Renée Elise Goldsberry will perform the National Anthem prior to kickoff. Goldsberry is best known for originating the role of Angelica Schuyler in "Hamilton," earning a Tony, Grammy, Drama Desk, and Lucille Lortel Award, along with an Emmy nomination for the Disney+ film adaptation. She starred in "Girls5Eva," earning a Critic's Choice Award nomination. Other highlights from her film and television career include starring in "Waves," "She-Hulk," "Altered Carbon," "The Good Wife," "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks," "One Life to Live," and "Albany Road." On Broadway, she starred in "The Color Purple," "Rent," "The Lion King," "Good People," and "All In: Comedy About Love." Her debut album, "Who I Really Am," dropped on June 6th, and is available now on all streaming platforms.
The Raiders House Band returns for their fifth year of entertaining Raider Nation. This All-Star ensemble is an exciting, innovative and dynamic 15-piece orchestra led by David Perrico's powerful trumpet and stunning vocalists, featuring an all-female acoustic string section. The house band is comprised of world-class Las Vegas musicians who have performed with the likes of superstar entertainers Celine Dion, Santana, Beyonce, Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Shania Twain and Diana Ross.
