DEREK CARR
The rookie quarterback has thrown for 1,711 yards and 11 touchdowns and only 7 interceptions. Carr's poise and fight have made him a leader in the locker room.
"Guys in that locker room believe 100 percent in Derek without question," said Head Coach Tony Sparano.
SACKS ALLOWED
The Raiders offensive line has only allowed nine sacks so far this season, tied with Denver for the fewest allowed through eight games.
RED ZONE TOUCHDOWN PERCENTAGE
The Oakland Raiders have scored touchdowns on 76.9 percent of their red zone trips, ranking second in the NFL.
RUSHES FOR NEGATIVE YARDS
While the offense has struggled to get their running game going, they rank 1st in the league in number of rushes for negative yards with eight.
KHALIL MACK
He may not have recorded a sack yet, but Mack has been a force on defense, both disrupting opposing teams' passing games as well as stopping the run. The rookie linebacker has recorded 50 tackles and his 10 tackles for loss ties him for 6th in the NFL.
OPPOSING RED ZONE TOUCHDOWN PERCENTAGE
The Oakland Raiders rank 6th in the league in opponents' red zone touchdown percentage, allowing a touchdown only 51.4 percent of the time.
OPPONENTS RUSHES FOR NEGATIVE YARDS
The Raiders are tied for 2nd in the NFL in causing opponents to rush for negative plays. Through eight games, opponents have 29 rushes for negative yards against the Raiders defense.
TJ CARRIE
The rookie out of Ohio University has become a dual threat with his play on defense and special teams. Carrie has 24 tackles, five passes defensed, an interception and a forced fumble. On 16 punt returns, he has run for 155 yards (9.7 avg) and had two for 20-plus yards. And on nine kickoff returns, Carrie has 236 yards (26.2 avg) with seven for over 20 yards.
CHARLES WOODSON
He may be 38 years old and in his 17th NFL season, but the man can still play. He has been all over the field, making plays and consistently staying around the football. Woodson has started all eight games and recorded 34 tackles, six passes defensed, two interceptions and recovered a fumble.
MARQUETTE KING
King has punted 46 times for 2,052 yards and a net of 1,912 yards. King is 6th in net punt average (41.6) and is tied for 4th with 17 punts inside the 20.
