Safety Lonnie Johnson Jr. returned to practice Monday, marking the first time he was on the field since training camp.
Johnson has been on injured reserve since suffering a broken fibula during practice in August. He signed with the Raiders this past offseason and has appeared in 83 career games with 20 starts over his six NFL seasons.
"Just taking it one day at a time," Johnson said Monday of his recovery process. "I had a goal in mind when I first got here to prove to them that I want to be here longterm. Just taking it one day at a time, just stack every day."
"I just put my head down and got to work," he added. "It was only one focus: to get back."
