Biography

Eichenberg, a 6-foot-2, 233-pound linebacker out of Ohio State, was selected with the 148th overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. A three-year starter and two-time team captain, Eichenberg played in 41 career games with 27 starts over five seasons for the Buckeyes. He recorded 268 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, five passes defensed and two interceptions.

In 2023, Eichenberg was named the Butkus-Fitzgerald Big Ten Linebacker of the Year and earned his second consecutive First-Team All-Big Ten Conference honor after recording 82 tackles and 1.5 tackles for loss. In 2022, he led the Buckeyes in total tackles (120) and tackles for loss (12), while also leading the Big Ten in solo tackles (77). Eichenberg was also named Defensive MVP of the 2022 Rose Bowl after setting a bowl-record and career-high of 17 tackles.

A native of Cleveland, Eichenberg attended St. Ignatius High School where he was rated a four-star prospect by 247Sports.com and was a consensus top-10 ranked player in the state of Ohio. As a senior, he was named a First Team All-Ohio selection after recording 126 tackles, 23 tackles for loss, eight sacks and five passes defensed.
