100 Days of 100 Jersey Numbers - 70

For a total of 100 days, we'll take a look at the men who have played for the Raiders jersey number by jersey number. This series will highlight some of the greatest players in NFL history. In some cases, the player and jersey number are synonymous. In other cases, the jersey number represents sustained greatness at a particular position. Some players are superstitious about their jersey number. Whatever the case may be, jersey numbers are an important part of the fabric of professional football.

Henry Lawrence was a member of three Super Bowl championship teams.

Eleven players have worn jersey No. 70 in Raiders history, including a long-time starter and Super Bowl-winning offensive tackle.

Harry Jagielski – DT – 1961

Jagielski joined the Raiders after playing for the Redskins, Cardinals and Patriots. He played in eight games for the Raiders and intercepted a pass for seven yards.

Pete Nicklas – T – 1962

Nicklas was selected by the Raiders in the 30th round of the 1962 AFL Draft. He played in 14 games for the Raiders.

Dick Klein – T – 1963-64

Klein joined the Raiders after playing for the Bears, Cowboys, Steelers and Patriots. He played in 28 games for the Raiders.

Jim Harvey – G – 1966-71

Originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the 5th round of the 1965 NFL Draft, Harvey played in 78 games with 39 starts with the Raiders.

Henry Lawrence – T – 1974-86

The Raiders selected Lawrence in the first round of the 1974 NFL Draft out of Florida A&M. He played in 187 games with 148 starts and was a member of all three of the Raiders Super Bowl-winning teams. He played in 20 career playoff games with 13 starts. Lawrence was named to the 1983 and 1984 Pro Bowl squads.

Scott Davis – DE – 1988-91, 1994

The Raiders selected Davis in the first round of the 1988 NFL Draft out of Illinois. He played in 75 games with 48 starts and recorded 27.5 sacks and one fumble recovery.

Russ Freeman – T – 1995

Freeman joined the Raiders after three years with the Denver Broncos. He played in 15 games with one start.

Toby Myles – G/T – 2001

Myles, who played for the New York Giants in 1999, split time between the Raiders and the Cleveland Browns in 2001. He saw action in one game for the Silver and Black.

Brad Badger – G/T – 2002-06

Badger joined the Raiders after three years with Washington and two with Minnesota. He played in 62 games with 31 starts and was credited with four fumble recoveries.

Langston Walker – G/T – 2009-10

The Raiders selected Walker in the 2nd round of the 2002 NFL Draft out of Cal. He played for the Raiders from 2002-06, the Buffalo Bills from 2007-08 and the Raiders from 2009-10. He wore No. 70 in his second stint in Oakland. In all, Walker played in 88 games with 50 starts.

Tony Bergstrom – G/T – 2012-present

The Raiders selected Bergstrom in the 3rd round of the 2012 NFL Draft. He has played in nine games with one start. He missed the 2013 season due to injury.
