Eight Things You Didn't Know About Defensive Coordinator Ken Norton, Jr.

1. Defensive Coordinator Ken Norton, Jr.'s father, Ken Sr., is the former world heavyweight boxing champion and played football at Northeast Missouri State.

2. Coach Norton earned All-American honors at UCLA in 1987 and was a Butkus Award finalist as a senior.

3. Coach Norton is the only player in NFL history to play on Super Bowl-winning teams three consecutive years, with Dallas in 1992 and 1993 and with the 49ers in 1994. He added a fourth ring in 2013 as a coach with Seattle.

4. Coach Norton and Raiders Head Coach Jack Del Rio played alongside one another in the linebacking corps of the Cowboys from 1989-91.

5. During his time as a linebackers coach at USC, the team played in the 2005 Orange Bowl (BCS Championship Game), 2006 Rose Bowl (BCS Championship Game), 2007 Rose Bowl, 2008 Rose Bowl, 2009 Rose Bowl and 2009 Emerald Bowl.

6. From 2010-14, Coach Norton served as Seattle's linebackers coach, helping the team to three NFC West Division titles, two NFC Championships and a Super Bowl XLVIII title.

7. After retiring from the NFL in 2000, Coach Norton was a radio and television commentator and analyst, including appearances on the NFL Network.

8. Coach Norton has an extensive collection of hats and has worn one for every Raiders practice so far.
