Raiders DE Mario Edwards Jr Voted Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Week

Oakland Raiders DE Mario Edwards Jrhas been voted PEPSI NFL ROOKIE OF THE WEEK for Week 10, the NFL announced today. 

Edwards recorded a team-high 11 tackles and a sack in the Raiders Week 10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

After the regular season, five players will be nominated for Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year honors. Fans can vote for the winner on NFL.com/rookies throughout the month of January. The Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year will be announced at the "5th Annual NFL Honors" awards show in San Francisco on CBS on Saturday, Feb. 6, the night before Super Bowl 50.

This is Pepsi's 14th year as the official soft drink sponsor of the NFL and the 13th year that Pepsi will present the NFL Rookie of the Week and NFL Rookie of the Year awards.
