Raiders Tackle Chargers on Thursday Night Football

THIS WEEK: The Oakland Raiders, members of the American Football Conference Western Division, are now in their 52nd season of pro football competition. The Silver and Black face a current American Football Conference member for the ninth straight time and play a fellow AFC West member for the third time in a row, visiting the Chargers in San Diego after hosting the Denver Broncos at O.co Coliseum last Sunday.

TELEVISION: This week's game will be televised nationally on The NFL Network, and locally on KPIX Channel 5 with Brad Nessler handling play-by-play Mike Mayockas color analyst and Alex Flanagan as sideline reporter

RADIO: The game will air live on Raiders Radio Network originating on KITS LIVE 105.3 FM, the Silver and Black's flagship for the multi-state Radio Network. Greg Papa and Raiders two-time Super Bowl winning head coach Tom Flores will man the booth for the 14th straight year. The radio pregame and postgame shows feature Raider Legends George Atkinson and David Humm.

NATIONAL RADIO: Westwood One will air the game nationally on radio with Ian Eagle, Trent Green and Laura Okmin calling the action.

SPANISH RADIO:Raider games in the 2011 airs in Spanish in the Bay Area on radio station KCNL 104.9 FM withFernando Arias and Ambrosio Ricohandling announcing duties.

SERIES: This Sunday's game marks the 103rd league meeting between the Raiders and Chargers. The Raiders hold a 56-44-2 advantage in regular season contests over San Diego since 1960 when the teams began competition as original members of the American Football League. The Raiders are 1-0 in postseason games.

CHARGERS:Chargers head coach Norv Turner served as head coach with the Raiders for two seasons (2004-05)… Turner is from Martinez and attended Alhambra High School… Defensive line coach Don Johnson coached defensive tackles with the Raiders from 2007-08… RB Ryan Matthews and QB Billy Volek went to Fresno State… Volek is from Fresno… WR Malcolm Floyd is from* *Sacramento and attended River City High School.

LAST GAME:The Oakland Raiders lost to the Denver Broncos, 38-24 on Sunday, November 6 at O.co Coliseum.

NEXT WEEK:The Raiders are on the road for the second consecutive week as the Silver and Black travel to Minneapolis to take on the Minnesota Vikings. The game will be the first for the Raiders against a National Football Conference opponent this season. The Silver and Black play teams from the NFC North this year, traveling to Minnesota and Green Bay and hosting Chicago and Detroit.
