Week 8 - Raiders at Browns

  • Oakland leads the all-time series, 11-9.
  • The two teams will meet for the third time in four years, and ninth time since 2000.
  • The Raiders have hosted the last two meetings in 2011 and 2012, and will travel to Cleveland in 2014.
  • Oakland holds a 4-2 advantage over the Browns in Cleveland, however the Browns have won both games in Cleveland since their rebirth in 1999. The teams did not meet in Cleveland from 1985 until 2003.
  • This will mark the Raiders first trip to Cleveland since 2009. In that 2009 contest, Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski booted at 61-yard field goal.
  • Raiders assistant head coach/offensive line coach Tony Sparano served as the offensive quality control coach for the Browns in 1999 and offensive line coach in 2000.
  • Raiders S Usama Young played two seasons for the Browns from 2011-12.
  • Raiders LB Kaluka Maiava played his first four seasons for Cleveland from 2009-12.
