Weeks 12 and 15 - Raiders vs. Chiefs

  • Kansas City leads the all-time series, 55-50-2.
  • The Raiders have played the Chiefs 107 times in the regular season, tied with the Broncos for the second most of any opponent. The two teams have played each other twice in the regular season every year since 1960, except for the strike-shortened season of 1982.
  • Prior to 2013, the Raiders had won six straight games at Arrowhead Stadium from 2007-12.
  • After Oakland swept the series in 2012, the Chiefs won both contests against the Raiders last season, winning 24-7 at Arrowhead on Oct. 13 and 56-31 on Dec. 15 at O.co Coliseum.
  • Raiders K Sebastian Janikowski has made more field goals (52) against the Chiefs than any other oppponent.
  • Raiders special teams coordinator Bobby April spent three seasons (2010-12) in the same capacity with the Eagles under Chiefs Head Coach Andy Reid, who was the head coach in Philadelphia from 1999-2012.
  • Raiders senior offensive assistant Al Saunders served as assistant head coach/offensive coordinator of the Chiefs from 2001-05 and assistant head coach/wide receivers coach from 1989-98.
  • Chiefs DT Vance Walker played for the Raiders in 2013 and signed with Kansas City this offseason.
