Texans Quarterback Brock Osweiler and Raiders Quarterback Derek Carr

The Oakland Raiders defeated the Houston Texans 27-20 in a primetime showdown that matched up a high-powered offense and a stout defense at Estadio Azeca in Mexico City. The Silver and Black trailed entering the fourth quarter, but pulled off the clutch victory with a couple of big touchdown passes from quarterback Derek Carr. Houston battled all game and successfully limited the Raiders running attack all night, but down the stretch, It just wasn't enough to hold their lead. Following the Raiders' win, members of the Texans shared their thoughts on their defeat and the game overall.

Here's what the opponents are saying:

**Texans Head Coach Bill O'Brien

**

The third-year NFL coach broke down pieces of the Raiders offense and praised their effort.

"Yeah, they have a good team. They have good running backs. I thought our defense played hard. I thought that offense had scored 30-plus points many times. Did a good job tonight in the fourth quarter. They did a better job than us and we just have to regroup here and turn the page to San Diego."

O'Brien talked about the Raiders high-powered passing game, and gave credit to the team for a hard-fought victory.

"Yeah, I thought our defense really played tough the whole night. This is an offense in Oakland that they're going to make plays at times during the game. Like I've said, they've had many games where they've scored 30-plus points. One game where Carr threw for 500 yards, I thought our defense played a very tough football game. It's the NFL. I mean, it's the NFL. They've got a good team, we've got a good team. And they came out on the winning end, give them a lot of credit."

Quarterback Brock Osweiler

Osweiler said that it was a physical game between the two teams, and that the Silver and Black came to play.

"It was a heck of a game and it was a battle. It was a very physical football game. Both teams really wanted to come out on top. You could see that and feel it on the field. I always believe you need to give credit where credit is due. The Oakland Raiders played a great football game. They came here, they got a win."

Linebacker Jadeveon Clowney

Clowney expressed his disappointment in the game's outcome.

"You try to win every game, we go out here and battle…battle, don't quit; things don't just go your way all the time."

Linebacker Whitney Mercilus

Mercilus talked about the mistakes made on defense, and how the Raiders took advantage.

"Couple of mistakes out there, on defense, on us.We had a few plays out there we blew in coverage and everything, so they got the better of us."

He discussed what makes the Raiders running backs so effective and versatile.

"They're fast, they've got speed, so I mean if you blow coverage on one and don't have the right angle, they can definitely hurt you and go the distance."
