Assistant offensive line coach Steve Wisniewski has resigned his position due to personal reasons, the Raiders announced Thursday.

Wisniewski will continue to assist the Raiders as an ambassador.

Wisniewski, an eight-time Pro Bowl selection during his 13-year NFL career, all with the Silver and Black, was a warrior in the trenches. Originally a second-round selection (29th overall) of the Dallas Cowboys in the 1989 NFL Draft, he was immediately traded to the Raiders and started the final 175 games of his career before retiring after the 2001 campaign.

The Raiders have decided not to fill Wisniewski's position on the coaching staff this season.
