Brock Bowers has been nominated for Week 9 FedEx Air & Ground Player of the Week following his dominant showing against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After missing three games with a knee injury, he caught 12 passes for 127 yards and three touchdowns in the 30-29 loss. This was the first game in his career with multiple touchdowns and the second straight season he's caught double digit passes when playing against the Jaguars.
With this performance, he became the third tight end in franchise history to record 9+ receptions, 110+ receiving yards and 2+ receiving touchdowns in a single game, joining Darren Waller (12/6/20) and Todd Christensen (10/16/83).
"It felt great to get back out on the field," Bowers said postgame. "Obviously, not the ending we wanted, but I'm proud everyone fought to the very end."
This is Bowers' first nomination for the award. The other nominees include Josh Allen (Buffalo Bills), Matthew Stafford (Los Angeles Rams), Sam Darnold (Seattle Seahawks), Rico Dowdle (Carolina Panthers) and Drake London (Atlanta Falcons).
