Bucky Brooks' Scouting Report: Week 18 vs. Chiefs

Who is the Guy?

If this is Travis Kelce's farewell game, the future Hall of Fame inductee could finish out a stellar career with a bang. As an improvisational route runner with superb instincts, he has a knack for finding open windows in coverage. With the Chiefs' intent on celebrating the all-time great with a game plan that showcases his skills, the Raiders must pay close attention to No. 87's whereabouts at all times.

Know His Name

Chris Jones remains one of the league's premier game wreckers. The perennial All-Pro defensive tackle possesses the strength, power, and explosiveness to overwhelm blockers with force or finesse at the line of scrimmage. With another game to cement his legacy as a dominant playmaker, expect Jones to bring his A-game against a division rival in Week 18.

Don't Sleep On...

Trent McDuffie is an outstanding cover corner with exceptional awareness and ball skills. Though he hasn't played up to his traditional standards, the veteran is a top-10 corner with the tools to blanket elite wideouts on the perimeter. If the Raiders decide to target his side routinely, McDuffie could swipe an errant pass for a game-changing interception.

Under Pressure

Chris Oladukon has been elevated to QB1 after season-ending injuries to Patrick Mahomes and Gardner Minshew. Though the former backup hasn't earned a win to date, he flashed enough playmaking ability against the Denver Broncos in Week 17 to warrant some respect as a credible threat from the pocket.

Offensive Scheme

Despite playing a backup quarterback, Andy Reid will craft a scheme that enables the inexperienced passer to play fast and free from the pocket. Additionally, the offensive wizard will design a few "winners" that will give the Chiefs' top playmakers a chance to produce an explosive play that results in a score or creates a scoring opportunity. Given the Chiefs' recent offensive struggles, expect Reid to pull out all of the stops to jumpstart a dormant offense in the season finale.

Defensive Scheme

Steve Spagnuolo will bring pressure from every angle to force a quarterback into a critical error. With his defense looking to flip the script heading into the off-season, the veteran defensive assistant will likely turn up the heat to see if he can create a few turnover chances that tilt the game in the Chiefs' favor.
