Free Agent Facts: Get to know WR Jalen Nailor

The Raiders signed free agent receiver Jalen Nailor on Thursday.

Ascending impact

Over the past two seasons, Nailor's game has been on the rise. During the 2025 season, Nailor recorded single-season career highs in games started (eight), receptions (29) and receiving yards (444). In a crowded Vikings receivers room, his season included a few standout moments, most notably a career-best 124‑yard, one touchdown performance against the Ravens in Week 10.

In 2024, Nailor and WR Justin Jefferson became the first Vikings duo in franchise history to both score a receiving touchdown in each of the team's first three games of a season. They were the first pair to achieve the feat league wide since 2018 (Mike Evans and Chris Godwin).

Homecoming

Joining the Raiders means a return to his roots as Nailor played high school football at Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas. He was named the No. 1 wide receiver prospect in the state of Nevada by 247Sports and Rivals.com. He helped lead the Gaels to three state championships.

His connection to Las Vegas comes with a full‑circle twist: He was drafted in the sixth round of the 2022 NFL Draft, which was hosted in Las Vegas, and now returns to the city not as a prospect fighting for a roster spot, but as a proven contributor.

Born to be "Speedy"

Nailor earned the nickname "Speedy" when he first started playing football – and it's stuck ever since.

"It was my first year of tackle football. Very first week we were doing sprints at the end of practice," Nailor said in 2022. The whole week, I was winning pretty much every time. By the end of that week, my head coach goes, "Hey, we're going to start calling you 'Speedy.'"

While playing football at Bishop Gorman, he also ran track, winning four state titles his senior year and helping the school to its first-ever team track state championship.
