Game Recap: Raiders play complete game against Titans, winning in commanding fashion

It was a long time coming for the Las Vegas Raiders – four weeks to be exact.

That's how long it took to get back in the win column, picking up a convincing 20-10 victory over the Tennessee Titans inside Allegiant Stadium.

In this defining team performance, everyone played their part in all three phases of the game.

Raiders' first-round rookie Ashton Jeanty finished with 86 scrimmage yards on 25 touches with a touchdown. The defense came away with six sacks and three takeaways. Even special teams turned things around after several miscues throughout the season. Dylan Laube and Alex Bachman combined for over 100 yards in kick and punt returns and AJ Cole booted four punts inside the 20-yard line.

The Silver and Black's first possession went according to plan until reaching the red zone, settling for a field goal due to a sack by Titans Pro Bowler Jeffrey Simmons. Geno Smith was firing on all cylinders as he went 4-of-4 for 33 yards. Ashton Jeanty picked up some big gains on some outside runs, thanks to right tackle DJ Glaze, rushing for 31 yards on six carries.

After Daniel Carlson's 50-yard field goal, the Raiders became stagnant. Five yards were gained on their next two drives combined. But in the areas the offense faltered, the defense and special teams picked up the pace.

AJ Cole booted a 47-yard punt to place the Titans inside their own 10-yard line. Backed up against the end zone, Devin White came clean off the line of scrimmage for a strip-sack on rookie quarterback Cam Ward. Tyree Wilson recovered the ball at the Tennessee 2-yard line.

Along with White's sack, the Raiders defense sacked Ward two more times in the first half with Jonah Laulu and Maxx Crosby also finding their way in the backfield.

Three plays after the fumble recovery, Smith connected with Michael Mayer for a four-yard touchdown pass. This was Mayer's first touchdown catch since Week 15 of 2023.

Following a Devin White interception to end the first half, the offense went on a 13-play, 70-yard drive down the field to start the third quarter. The Raiders' rookie running back was the focal point of the drive, racking up 42 scrimmage yards on nine touches and capping it off with a three-yard touchdown run untouched up the middle.

The Titans wouldn't post points on the scoreboard until late in the third quarter with a 46-yard field goal made by Matthew Wright.

They wouldn't score again until the fourth quarter on a 1-yard touchdown pass from Ward to David Martin-Robinson.

The icing on the cake for the Raiders was a fumble recovery by Thomas Booker IV after the ball slipped out of Ward's hands in the final seconds of the game. As the Raiders got in victory formation and took a knee, it marked their first home victory of the season.
