Oakland Police Officer Jose Vazquez was selected as the GovX Hero of the Game for the Raiders match-up with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 9.
"I grew up in Oakland," said Vazquez. "I have been with OPD for 16 years. I have been in the Criminal Investigation Division for the last five years. I have been a Raiders fan as long as I can remember."
His selection as the GovX Hero of the Game was overwhelming for Vazquez. Vazquez took the field with the Raiders captains for the coin toss, "It's awesome. It's the only thing that comes to mind, just awesome."
