The Raiders Family mourns the passing of Gerald Irons, 73, who played six seasons with the Silver and Black.

A third-round draft pick out of Maryland-Eastern Shore in 1970, Irons played in 77 games with 56 starts for the Raiders from 1970-75. Irons recorded 13 interceptions in 10 total seasons with the Raiders and Browns and his son, Grant, also played for the Silver and Black.
