Ashton Jeanty nominated for NFL Rookie of the Week

Ashton Jeanty earned his fourth nomination for Pepsi Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week.

In Week 12 against the Cleveland Browns, he continued to be a factor in the Raiders offense in the air and on the ground. He recorded 108 scrimmage yards (68 receiving, 50 rushing) along with his eighth career touchdown on a five-yard reception to the end zone. This was his third game on the season gaining over 100 scrimmage yards.

His 825 scrimmage yards and eight total touchdowns lead all rookies. Additionally, his eight receptions against the Browns tied a franchise rookie record for a running back, placing him next to Pro Football Hall of Famer Marcus Allen in the record books.

"I thought he was so tough last night," Pete Carroll said Monday about Jeanty's performance. "I thought he played physically as hard and tough as he has at any point. And I thought there's a number of plays. There's seven, eight, nine plays in the game when he demonstrated that, and I thought he played really well."

The other nominees are Cam Ward (Tennessee Titans), Dylan Sampson (Cleveland Browns), Barrett Carter (Cincinnati Bengals), Darius Alexander (New York Giants) and Jaylen Reed (Houston Texans).
