The Raiders won the opening coin toss, elected to defer, and on the opening kickoff Sebastian Janikowski booted the ball out of the back of the end zone for a touchback.

The Raiders forced a three-and-out on the Titans first offensive possession, after Marcus Mariota overthrew his intended receiver on 3rd and 8.

After the Raiders were unable to convert a third down, Marquette King punted the ball 47 yards to pin the Titans deep at their own 8-yard line.

The Raiders defense forced their second three-and-out of the afternoon when TJ Carrie broke up Mariota's pass to Kendall Wright with 11:30 left in the opening frame.

Facing 3rd and 3, Derek Carr found Andre Holmes on the outside for a gain of 9 resulting in the Raiders first, first down of the day.

After surrendering a touchdown to tight end Craig Stevens, the Raiders blocked the Titans extra point to make the score 6-0 with 5:53 left in the first quarter.

With 5:00 left in the first quarter, Carr dropped back, surveyed the field and connected with wide receiver Seth Roberts for a gain of 38.

The Raiders punctuated the drive several plays later when Carr rolled to his right and found Michael Crabtree in the corner of the end zone for a seven-yard touchdown. Janikowski added the PAT to give the Silver and Black a 7-6 lead with 1:34 left in the first quarter.

The Oakland defense forced their third three-and-out of the game in the final moments of the first quarter, when Mariota, under pressure, was forced out of the pocket and threw the ball away.

With 9:45 left in the second quarter, Khalil Mack recorded his sixth sack of the season, taking down Mariota behind the line of scrimmage for a loss of seven.

Cooper made yet another acrobatic grab with just over 7:00 left in the half, hauling in a pass from Carr for a gain of 30.

The drive stalled, but Janikowski converted a 24-yard field goal with 1:01 left in the half to give the Silver and Black a 10-6 lead.
