The Oakland Raiders overtime victory is the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for games played on December 22-26. The GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week is the best moment or play of the week that represents determination and perseverance. With their game tied 13-13 in the final seconds, Kansas City Chiefs K Ryan Succop lined up for what appeared would be the game-winning field goal, which would boot the Oakland Raiders out of playoff contention. But Raiders DT Richard Seymour blocked his second kick of the game, forcing overtime. After a 53-yard pass play from QB Carson Palmer to WR Darrius Heyward-Bey, K Sebastian Janikowski made a 36-yarder to win it for Oakland.
This is the second time the Raiders have been voted the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week. The first was in Week 5, a day after the passing of Al Davis, the Raiders came from behind and then intercepted a last-second pass in the end zone to seal the victory over the Houston Texans.
Seymour was also named the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 16.
