Raiders End Season with Loss to Denver

The Broncos won the opening coin toss and deferred their choice to the second half. KR Taiwan Jones fielded K Matt Prater's opening kickoff on the end line for a touchback. The Raiders started at the 20 with Terrelle Pryor at quarterback and promptly went three and out. P Marquette King came on. King's 43-yard punt bounced out of bounds at the Denver 29. 

QB Peyton Manning capped the Broncos opening drive with a 3-yard TD pass to WR Eric Decker. The extra point was good and the Broncos took a 7-0 lead with 7:05 left in the first quarter.

Jones returned the ensuing kickoff to the Oakland 25. Pryor fumbled a shotgun snap on the first play of the possession and Denver recovered at the Oakland 21. The Broncos took advantage and scored on a 7-yard TD pass from Manning to RB Knowshon Moreno. The extra point was good and Denver led 14-0 with 5:39 left in the 1st quarter.

Prater's line-drive kickoff flew out of the end zone for a touchback. The Raiders managed one first down before the Broncos forced a punt. FB Jamize Olawale dropped PR Trindon Holliday immediately as he fielded the punt and the Broncos started at the 35.

The Broncos were held to a field goal attempt. The 34-yard kick was good and the Broncos took a 17-0 lead with 12:37 left in the 2nd quarter.

Prater's ensuing kickoff flew out of the back of the end zone for as touchback and the Raiders started at the 20. The Raiders drive stalled near midfield and King came on to punt. King's 52-yard punt landed in to the end zone for a touchback and Denver started at the 20.

A few plays later Manning hit WR Demaryius Thomas for a 63-yard TD. The extra point was good and the Broncos took a 24-0 lead with 5:37 left in the 2nd quarter.

After a 5-yard TD pass to Thomas, the Broncos took a 31-0 lead into the locker room at halftime. The Broncos got the ball to start the 3rd quarter as Brock Osweiler took over for Manning. Their first drive of the 2nd half stalled and Olawale blocked the punt. The Raiders were unable to take advantage as Janikowski missed a 42-yard field goal.

The Broncos were forced to punt after their next drive stalled at the Oakland 48. The Raiders managed one first down before the Broncos forced a punt. King's soaring punt was downed at the Denver 16.

The Broncos next drive ended when FS Charles Woodson came up with the QB sack at the Oakland 37. WR Greg Jenkins called for and made a fair catch at the Oakland 9.  The Raiders drive stalled at the Denver 40 when they failed to convert on 4th and 6 and Denver took over on downs.

The Broncos settled for a 54-yard field goal, which gave them a 34-0 lead with 6:36 left in the game.

Greg Jenkins fielded the ensuing kickoff in the end zone and took a knee for a touchback. The Raiders finally got on the scoreboard with a 14-yard TD pass to WR Rod Streater. The extra point was good and the Broncos led 34-7 with 4:24 left in the 4th quarter.

Broncos WR Andre Caldwell recovered the pooch kick at the Denver 32.  The Raiders held Denver to a three and out. Greg Jenkins was dropped immediately on the punt return and the Raiders started at the 25.

Pryor tossed his second TD of the game, 9 yards to rookie TE Nick Kasa. The PAT was good and the Broncos led 34-14 with 37 seconds left in the game.

Janikowski's onside kick attempt went out of bounds and Denver took over at the Oakland 47. Osweiler took a knee and the Broncos won the game 34-14.

The Raiders finish the 2013 season with a 4-12 record.
