For the people, by the players: A travel guide and stadium reviews for 2025 away games from Raiders past and present

On the road again.

According to Bookies.com, the Las Vegas Raiders are traveling an estimated 18,055 miles during the 2025 season. Overall, they'll have eight road games with their shortest trip being their annual trip to Los Angeles to face the Chargers. Their longest trips will include a season opener in Foxborough, Massachusetts, to face the New England Patriots and a Week 15 outing against the defending champion Philadelphia Eagles. Both of those flights from southern Nevada are at least four and a half hours long – so buckle up Raider Nation.

Over the past two seasons, Raiders.com has provided fans with a travel guide for each away destination which has included stadium reviews, places to see and food recommendations. This year's version comes with a twist.

For the 2025 NFL schedule release, we spoke with Raiders past and present who's grown up in these areas or played games in each of these cities. This includes the likes Adam Butler, Jeremy Chinn and Lonnie Johnson Jr. returning back to their old stomping grounds.

Because let's be honest, who's better to get Raider Nation excited to travel than the men who's played there themselves?

Week 1 at New England Patriots • Gillette Stadium

Adam Butler • New England Patriots (2017-2020)

"Gillette Stadium is really electric. Every time I think it about it, the song 'Welcome to the Jungle' come to my mind because they play it all the time, no matter what. It's just their thing. I've heard they've made updates to the stadium. I haven't been back since, but I'm excited to see them.

"My favorite memory there was actually when I was on the Dolphins playing them. It was the season opener of the 2021 season and the game came down to the wire. We're on the goal line. If they score, they win the game. If we stop them, we win the game. New England ran to their right in the end zone opposite of the lighthouse and Xavien Howard punched the ball out, the Dolphins recover it, game over.

"I had a lot of memories there too as a Patriot. My first career sack was against Matt Ryan; I'll never forget that. I can't even describe that feeling. And it was right after they faced off against the Falcons in the Super Bowl, so as a rookie I had a lot to prove. Just being able to get that first sack against a Super Bowl contender was huge for me.

"If you're just casually passing time and need something quick to eat, go to 110 Grill. They have gluten free options. I love their calamari. Make sure you get some calamari while you're up there and some clam chowder, just for the New England feel."

Week 3 at Washington Commanders • Northwest Stadium

Jeremy Chinn • Washington Commanders (2024)

"Commanders fans are loud and they're passionate. You're going to feel the energy pulling up to the stadium. They definitely bring energy.

"The stadium is a little far from D.C. proper. It's in Maryland. But I would tell fans they need to visit The Wharf. There's a lot of good restaurants around there, a really good place to go watch games and hang out for sure. I definitely recommend The Wharf, but there's a lot of spots to eat out there in general."

Week 5 at Indianapolis Colts • Lucas Oil Stadium

Kolton Miller • Las Vegas Raiders (2018-present)

"When I think of Lucas Oil Stadium, I think back to the Combine.

"That was my first experience there. Coming in, not even drafted, you're meeting with a bunch of coaches, you're doing workouts and weighing in. It was an eye-opening experience.

"My next memory was in 2021. We were making a little bit of a run toward the playoffs and I remember how the game ended – with Hunter Renfrow. We're running around the 50-yard line, we're trying to secure the win and Hunter Renfrow gets a long pass. He stumbles and he gets back up and he basically secures a win. I think that was also the same game he passed for over 1,000 yards in a season.

"There's a steakhouse in Indy, St. Elmo's. They're famous for their horseradish sauce. They had the hottest cocktail sauce I've ever had. But now I feel I have to ask for wasabi and horseradish each time I get a [shrimp] cocktail.

"It's an awesome place to play with the fans and the history there, it's a really cool deal."

Week 7 at Kansas City Chiefs • Geha Field at Arrowhead Stadium

Sam Webb • Excelsior Springs, Missouri, native; Missouri Western Griffons (2016-2020)

"I remember my rookie year the first time we went there. It was just a crazy feeling honestly.

"I'm back at home, on the field. I had been to games there, but being on the field playing – it's an unexplainable feeling. I was more turned up than I ever was before I went up on the field. I wasn't even starting that game but I was thinking, 'I'm a superstar right now.' It means a lot, I had a lot of family in the stands too. My big brother was right there at the tunnel. It was just a crazy experience and feeling.

"For fans who want some good Kansas City barbecue: At number three, I'm going Q39. At two, I'm going Gates. My mom likes Gates a lot and it's a biased thing. And at number one, I'm going LC's Bar-B-Q."

Week 10 at Denver Broncos • Empower Field at Mile High

Daniel Carlson • Colorado Springs, Colorado, native

"A good, sunny day in Denver for a kicker or a punter is hard to beat.

"The ball just flies a little bit further. It's not something you would notice unless you know what you're doing, but you get a couple extra yards and break some records out there. And for me, I'm from Colorado so it's just always fun to go home. I grew up kicking in altitude so it never hurts.

"If you're coming in from Vegas going to Colorado, I think I'd drive there. It's a 10-hour drive, but you drive through all the mountain towns and it's the most beautiful drive. You go through Utah and that area is beautiful. Mile High also has great spots. If the weather's good, there's a lot of things to do outside right around the stadium."

Week 13 at Los Angeles Chargers • SoFi Stadium

Isaiah Pola-Mao • USC Trojans (2017–2021)

"The atmosphere is awesome. It's really Raider Nation out there because it's L.A. and that's cool.

"The stadium itself is beautiful. You got the big ole LED jumbotron and that's really cool, but the atmosphere is everything. It's really the Black Hole out here, so many Raiders fans. I love going to L.A. because I know they're going to be there supporting us.

"There's always something to do in L.A. There's always concerts or you can be outside in nature. I like the beaches always. There's all types of stuff. And you can't complain about the weather either."

Week 15 at Philadelphia Eagles • Lincoln Financial Field

Eric Allen • Philadelphia Eagles (1988-1994)

"For a young player, you don't know any different until you go somewhere else. That was my first introduction into the NFL.

"I was able to be on the ground floor in South Philly, West Philadelphia, and make a great relationship with some of the fans. Man, when that first game popped off and we were at home, the energy was unbelievable. It was phenomenal to be there and build the foundation of that 'Gang Green' defense.

"But when you go back as a visitor – oh my goodness. They're giving you the business.

"They would tell me I should've retired two or three years ago, but I think for me, it was a situation where they wanted me to do well, but they were not going to give me any praise until after the game. Now, for some of my other teammates that had never played in Philadelphia, they were really giving Tim Brown the business. They were yelling at him saying he was overrated, that Notre Dame was garbage. They can be a little intimidating, but eventually, in 2001, we went back and we beat them pretty bad. I think me and Charles Woodson held their receivers to one or two catches.

"You have to go downtown to visit the 'Rocky' statue. It's just legendary to run up those steps and take that picture next to Rocky. Geno's Steaks in South Philly, you've got to hit that. The Market downtown is always a cool spot. And Chickie's and Pete's, we have one in Las Vegas, but there's one right by the stadium that's always a good place to go and hang out."

Week 16 at Houston Texans • NRG Stadium

Lonnie Johnson Jr. • Houston Texans (2019-2021)

"They've got some good fans. It's going to be rocking for sure.

"Playing over there for years, you understand everything comes through those fans – especially with the way DeMeco [Ryans] and Nick [Caserio] have that team running right now. So, it will definitely be a great atmosphere. Their fans are going to turn up when it's time to turn up.

"Fans visiting definitely got to check out Bun B's Trill Burgers and definitely check out Taste Kitchen + Bar. Those are some good spots."

Take a look at when and where the Silver and Black will face their opponents for this upcoming season.
