The Oakland Raiders have signed OL Jack Cornell to the active roster, General Manager Reggie McKenzie announced Saturday.

Cornell has spent the previous three weeks on the Raiders' practice squad after signing with the team on Sept. 11.

Following his collegiate career at Illinois, Cornell signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent on May 10, 2012. Following training camp, he was waived, but was signed to the practice squad, where he spent the entire 2012 season. Cornell was waived by Baltimore on Aug. 25, 2013.

At Illinois, Cornell played in 29 career games, making 19 starts. As a junior, he appeared in 13 games and helped pave the way for the top rushing offense in the Big Ten and 11th-best in the nation. The Illini also broke school records for points in a season (423) and points per game (32.5), in addition to producing the fourth-most total yards (5,162) and second-most rushing yards (3,199) in school history.

To make room for Cornell, Oakland has waived G Antoine McClain.
