Owusu-Ansah was initially signed to the Raiders' practice squad on Sept. 19, and rejoined the Silver and Black on Dec. 10. A 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive back, Owusu-Ansah played in 10 games with the Dallas Cowboys from 2010-11, registering 28 kick returns for 599 yards. He was originally selected by the Cowboys in the fourth round (126th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft.

Shuler was signed to Oakland's practice squad on Oct. 16. The 6-foot-4, 251-pound tight end played in six games with the Miami Dolphins in 2010, totaling two receptions for 44 yards. Shuler also spent time with Minnesota in 2010 and 2011 after entering the league as the Vikings' seventh-round draft pick (214th overall) out of Penn State.

Slowey joined the Silver and Black's practice squad on Oct. 23 after spending training camp with the San Francisco 49ers. He was originally selected by the 49ers in the sixth round (199th overall) of the 2012 NFL Draft out of Western Oregon.
