The Oakland Raiders Monday signed veteran free agent cornerback Joselio Hanson.

Hanson, who played one year with the San Francisco 49ers before spending the past seven seasons with the Philadelphia Eagles, has played in 104 career games with 19 starts. His career totals include 237 tackles (170 solo), four interceptions and 3.5 sacks.

The 5-foot-9, 180-pound Hanson, whose first name is pronounced ho-SELL-ee-oh, played in 16 games with one start for the Eagles last season. He played in seven playoff games during his seven seasons in Philadelphia.

The Inglewood, Calif., native entered the NFL with the 49ers as a non-drafted rookie free agent out of Texas Tech in 2003. He transferred from El Camino Junior College in Torrance, Calif., the same school that current Raiders fullback Marcel Reece attended in 2005.
