Raiders Voted Never Say Never Moment of the Week

QB Derek Carr's game-winning touchdown drive on Thursday Night Football against the Kansas City Chiefs was voted the GMC Never Say Never Moment of the Week for Week 12! Well done Raider Nation!

The Raiders got the ball back with 9:03 remaining in the 4th quarter. Offensive Coordinator Greg Olson and QB Derek Carr got FB Marcel Reece involved early in the drive, handing the ball off to him twice (9-yard and 7-yard gains), throwing him a short pass up the middle for 8 yards and then handing the ball off to him again for 4 yards. The Raiders then notched another first down on a pass to WR Brice Butler.

Then, on a 4th and 1, Carr completed a quarterback sneak for a first down at the Kansas City 43 with 5:05 remaining. Reece had another solid gain of 4 yards. TE Mychal Rivera then completed an 8-yard catch from Carr.

Reece kept it moving with three more runs, taking the Raiders to the Kansas City 11 with 1:53 left. After a Carr 2-yard gain, the Raiders had 1st and goal from the 9.

On the 17th play of the drive, Carr found WR James Jones up the middle for a 9-yard touchdown catch to give the Raiders the lead. A Sebastian Janikowski extra point gave the Raiders a 24-20 lead with 1:46 remaining in the game.

Carr orchestrated a 17-play, 80-yard drive over 7:21 to lead the Raiders to victory.
