Fast Facts About Miles Burris

  1. Miles attended Granite Bay High School in Granite Bay, Calif. where he was twice named an All-Metro League player and won the Defensive Player of the Year Award for his high school following his junior and senior seasons.
  1. Burris played collegiately at San Diego State, and was a two-time All-Mountain West first-team selection and was named the 2011-12 SDSU Student-Athlete of the Year.
  1. The Raiders selected him in the fourth round (129th overall) of the 2012 draft, and since he began his professional career in Silver and Black, he has appeared in 22 games with 15 starts.
  1. His father Jim played college football at Oregon State, and once sacked future Hall of Fame QB Dan Fouts in a game.
  1. Miles has been active in the community since joining the Raiders, volunteering his time at both the Oakland Children's Hospital and with the Toys For Tots foundation.
