Oakland Raiders Inactives Against The Carolina Panthers

It's Sunday, which means it's time for some Oakland Raiders football.

This afternoon, the Silver and Black will take the field at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum as they play host to the Carolina Panthers. This will be the sixth matchup between the teams, and it should be interesting to watch quarterbacks Derek Carr and Cam Newton battle it out on the gridiron.

Just a season ago, the Panthers went 15-1 during the regular season, and made it all the way to the Super Bowl 50 at Levi's Stadium. Although this season hasn't been ideal for the Panthers, they're still an impressive squad that shouldn't be taken lightly.

Newton was the 2015 MVP, but this season the Raiders have a legitimate MVP of their own with Carr. In his third season, the Fresno State-product has thrown for 2,800 yards, with 20 touchdowns, and just four interceptions.

Heading into the matchup with the NFC champions, let's take a look at the today's inactive players.

Here are the Oakland Raiders inactive players.

Quarterback Connor Cook

Cornerback Dexter McDonald

Cornerback David Amerson

Running Back DeAndré Washington

Linebacker Perry Riley, Jr.

Guard Denver Kirkland

Linebacker Shilique Calhoun

Notables:

Rookie linebacker Shilique Calhoun won't be suiting up this afternoon, and will miss his first game of the 2016 season. The Raiders took the Michigan State-product in the third round (No. 75 overall) of the 2016 NFL draft, and he has served as a nice addition to the Silver and Black. Along with Calhoun, cornerback David Amerson will miss action for the first time this season against the Panthers. Amerson has been a bright spot on the Raiders defense and has accumulated 46 tackles with two interceptions. Rookie linebacker/defensive end James Cowser will be making NFL debut against the Panthers Sunday afternoon.
