The NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis concluded earlier this week, and now we're less than a week out from free agency officially getting underway.

It was a busy week for the Silver and Black as well as they re-signed a key special teams player and also continued their community outreach, so it's time to catch you up on the week that was.

2016 Scouting Combine Recap

The 2016 NFL Scouting Combine concluded Monday in Indianapolis, with the defensive backs going through their on-field drills at Lucas Oil Stadium.

During the Combine, more than 300 prospects and 1,200 credentialed media descended upon Indianapolis to cover what has now become must-watch TV for fans of all 32 NFL teams.

Raiders Sign Marquette King To Long-Term Deal

The Oakland Raiders locked up their punter for the foreseeable future, signing Marquette King to a long-term extension Monday.

Originally signed as an undrafted free agent in May 2012, King took over the punting duties fulltime in 2013 and in 2015, he set a franchise record with 40 punts placed inside the opponents' 20-yard line.

"The organization gave me an opportunity which I'm really thankful for, and they decided to keep me, so that feels good, just to know that they trust me enough, and for me, it just makes me want to work even harder," said King.

No Franchise Tag For The Silver And Black

Tuesday marked the deadline for designated franchise or transition players, but General Manager Reggie McKenzie elected not to use either designation.

Ten teams elected to use the tag, but the Silver and Black elected to stay pat.

Unrestricted free agency beings March 9, so let's take a look at some key dates you'll want to keep an eye on.
