By the numbers: Breaking down the Raiders' upcoming 2025 schedule

Thousands of miles traveled, dozens of time zone changes, all wrapped up in 17 games.

The anticipation is high for the Las Vegas Raiders' upcoming schedule following the league-wide release last Wednesday. The Silver and Black have nine home games, eight on the road and will see some competitive opponents – familiar and unfamiliar alike. There's several statistics that look to be in the Raiders' favor, especially with the hiring of their new head coach and general manager this offseason.

Take a look at the numbers that tell the story of the Raiders' 2025 schedule:

The Las Vegas Raiders notably have three primetime games this season.

Two will be against divisional opponents… the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 2 and Denver Broncos in Week 10, with the former being the Raiders' home opener at Allegiant. Eleven days after their Thursday Night Football game against the Broncos, they'll face off against the Dallas Cowboys on Monday Night Football in Week 11. This will be the Raiders' and Cowboys' first game against each other since Thanksgiving Day during the 2021 season.

6

The Raiders statistically have the 16th hardest schedule this upcoming season, per NFL Research. Among their 14 opponents, six made the playoffs in 2024 – which include their three AFC West foes, Commanders, Texans and defending Super Bowl champion Eagles.

It will be a gauntlet down the stretch for the Silver and Black, facing five of those teams in the last six games of the season.

16

Of the teams on the Raiders' slate this season, they've historically had the most success against the Cleveland Browns.

In head-to-head regular season matchups, the Silver and Black have a 16-10 record against the Browns, which equates to a 61.5 win percentage. That's the second-highest win percentage the Raiders have against any opponent in their franchise history and the highest of any opponent they'll face in 2025. They're also 2-0 against the Browns historically in the playoffs, which totals 18 victories against the Browns in franchise history.

These two teams will square off in Allegiant Stadium in Week 12. They also played each other last season, with Charles Snowden sacking Deshaun Watson in the closing moments to secure a 20-16 victory.

34

Throughout the season, the Raiders will play at least one game in four different time zones and will change time zones 34 times throughout the year.

All nine of the their home games, including an road game next door in Los Angeles, will be on Pacific Standard Time. Their annual trip to Colorado to face the Denver Broncos will be on Mountain Standard Time. Their two matchups on Central Standard Time will be against the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs. Lastly, they'll have to adjust to Eastern Standard Time on four occasions against the Philadelphia Eagles, Indianapolis Colts, Washington Commanders and New England Patriots for their season opener.

Pete Carroll accumulated a 2-9 record in his time with the Seahawks in games with a 10 a.m. kickoff time on Eastern or Central Time. Over the last three seasons, the Raiders have gone 3-9 under the same circumstances.

18,055

While adjusting to playing in four different time zones, the Raiders will rack up some more air miles in 2025.

According to Bookies.com, the Raiders will travel an estimated 18,055 miles, with their average trip being 2,257 miles roundtrip. This is the 18th most estimated miles traveled for any team this season, and nearly 5,300 less miles traveled compared to their 2024 schedule.

The Raiders' longest trip will be to the New England area for their season opener, which is approximately over 2,300 air miles round-trip.

66.67

This will be the first time since 2021 the Raiders don't play a divisional opponent to start the year as they are set to face the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium.

Historically, the Raiders are 25-30 all-time in season openers, but have found more success recently. Over their last six season openers, they've gone 4-2 which equates to a 66.67 win percentage. Their last victory in a season opener came on the road against the Denver Broncos in 2023.
