Los Raiders continúan construyendo su identidad en el Draft tras el intercambio realizado con Houston en la segunda ronda, movimiento que les permitió tener dos selecciones de tercera ronda y maximizar su valor.
Con el pick número 67, los Malosos reforzaron su defensa al seleccionar a Keyron Crawford, ala defensiva proveniente de Auburn. Se trata de una historia poco convencional: Crawford no comenzó a jugar fútbol americano hasta su último año de preparatoria en 2021, pero su impacto fue inmediato, llamando la atención de múltiples universidades.
Inició su carrera colegial en Arkansas State, donde jugó sus primeras dos temporadas antes de transferirse a Auburn en 2024. Ya en la poderosa conferencia SEC, Crawford se consolidó como uno de los jugadores más disruptivos, destacando por su capacidad de presionar al quarterback y generar jugadas negativas. Su desarrollo meteórico y su techo atlético lo convierten en una apuesta de alto potencial para la defensiva de Las Vegas.
Más adelante, con la selección número 91, los Raiders cambiaron de enfoque y regresaron a la ofensiva, manteniéndose fieles a la filosofía de su gerente general John Spytek, quien históricamente ha priorizado a los linieros en los primeros dos días del draft.
El elegido fue Trey Zuhn III, liniero ofensivo de Texas A&M con versatilidad y experiencia. Zuhn cuenta con un imponente físico de 6 pies 6 pulgadas y 312 libras, y durante su etapa con los Aggies fue titular en 50 partidos a lo largo de cinco años. Además de desempeñarse como tackle izquierdo, también tuvo actividad como centro, lo que le da un valor adicional dentro de la línea ofensiva.
