Raiders sign S Terrell Edmunds

HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed free agent S Terrell Edmunds, the team announced Sunday.

Edmunds, an eighth-year veteran safety, has played in 101 career games (79 starts) over seven NFL seasons with the Pittsburgh Steelers (2018-22, 2024), Philadelphia Eagles (2023), Tennessee Titans (2023) and Jacksonville Jaguars (2024). He owns 451 total tackles (308 solo), 17 tackles for loss, 7.5 sacks, six interceptions, 28 passes defensed, 11 quarterback hits, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery over his career. Edmunds has also started in two postseason contests (both with the Steelers), totaling 12 tackles (nine solo), one tackle for loss and one pass defensed.

The 6-1, 217-pound safety initially entered the league as a first-round selection (28th overall) by the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 2018 NFL Draft, where he spent the first five seasons of his career (2018-22). In 2023, Edmunds was signed by the Eagles, playing in seven games (three starts) before being acquired by the Titans in a trade in Week 7, where he played the final nine games of the season (one start).

Last season, Edmunds was a practice squad elevation for the Jaguars in Week 1 before being signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2, where he played in five games over the remainder of the season and recorded five tackles.

The Danville, Va., native played in 37 games (31 starts) over three seasons at Virginia Tech (2015-17), amassing 196 tackles, 14 passes defensed, 6.5 tackles for loss and six interceptions in his collegiate career.

In a corresponding move, the Raiders have waived/injured WR Seth Williams.
