HENDERSON, Nev. – The Las Vegas Raiders have signed fourth-round draft pick DT Tonka Hemingway, the club announced Thursday.
Hemingway was selected with the 135th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft. The 6-foot-2, 282-pound defensive tackle spent five seasons at South Carolina (2020-24) and appeared in a school-record 61 career games, tallying 112 tackles (70 solo), 17.5 tackles for loss, 9.5 sacks, 11 passes defensed and six fumble recoveries. He also played on offense and scored two touchdowns and one two-point conversion.
In 2024, Hemingway earned third team All-SEC honors after playing in 13 games with 11 starts and recording 25 tackles, four sacks, one pass defensed, one forced fumble and two fumble recoveries.
Hemingway attended Conway (S.C.) High School, where he was named first team all-state by the South Carolina coaches in 2019 and a three-time USA TODAY first-team all-state selection. He played on both sides of the ball and served as the team's punter. On defense, he collected 201 tackles, 49 tackles for loss and 13 sacks.
With the 135th overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders have selected South Carolina defensive tackle Tonka Hemingway.
